Women hunters often struggle in finding a quality waterproof boot that offers a comfortable foot bed with an all-terrain outer sole that is capable of keeping their feet dry and warm regardless if they are stalking or sitting extended hours in an elevated stand during frigid temperatures.
The Original Muck Boot Company has always been known for its comfortable, waterproof boots. The Original Muck Boot Company has introduced another great mid-length boot to their women’s line for 2017. The Women’s Pursuit Stealth. The Pursuit Stealth is a 12” high boot offering ETC® sockliner, a 5mm Neoprene comfort fleece insulated insole with air mesh lining to wick away humidity and perspiration. The combination results in a boot capable of keeping the wearers’ feet warm without building up moisture on the feet causing the feet to stay cold in low temperatures.
The Spandura® upper with an angled top line, angled from shin to the back of the calf, allows for a comfortable fit when tucking in pant legs. Optimal flex points are strategically placed to allow freedom of movement when crouching or walking. The cross platform outsole offers aggressive gripping for all-terrain. The 100% waterproof boot is rated at a comfort level of -40 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit making this the perfect cold weather boot even on those icy cold days where a hunter will encounter snowy or blizzard conditions.
The boots are available in Realtree® APG with pink accents and Pink Realtree® APC with dark brown accents at the flex point and Muck Boot Company logo accents giving the boot its stylish look. The boots are available in a true-to-fit size from sizes 5 to 11. I was surprised to find the boots lightweight, weighing in at four pounds.
I had the opportunity to put the women’s Pursuit Stealth through the challenge this past spring where we turkey hunted in northwest Kansas experiencing a blizzard on our second day of hunting. When the blizzard conditions subsided, it left 8” to 10” of snow on the ground, with drifts up to 18”. Stalking turkey in the snow was not an issue, and I was pleased with the performance of the all-terrain outsole going up and down the steep, icy creek banks. I sat numerous hours in a ground blind where my feet did not get circulation necessary to keep them warm; the Pursuit Stealth kept my feet warm.
